(1) Pre-grinding preparation: Before grinding, use a deburring tool to remove any burrs from the brake disc surface, then secure the brake disc onto a horizontal platform for the grinding process;
(2) Rough grinding: Grind the brake disc surface using an angle grinder equipped with a 120-grit grinding wheel, maintaining a consistent grinding direction and an angle of 15°–30° between the wheel and the disc surface; for the inner walls of the brake disc's ventilation vents, attach 600-grit dry-sanding paper to a thin wooden rod and rotate the rod so the paper continuously abrades the inner wall, maintaining a consistent direction of rotation;
(3) Fine grinding: Replace the angle grinder's wheel with a 320-grit version and grind the brake disc surface again, keeping the wheel parallel to the surface;
(4) Polishing: Polish the surface of the finely ground brake disc. First, use a deburring tool to remove burrs from the brake disc surface, which facilitates the subsequent grinding process. Next, use an angle grinder equipped with a 120-grit grinding wheel to grind the surface, maintaining an angle of 15°–30°; this allows for rapid material removal while ensuring good surface flatness and smoothness. Then, use 600-grit sandpaper attached to a slender wooden stick to grind the inner walls of the ventilation vents, ensuring a smooth finish. Afterward, switch to a 320-grit grinding wheel for a second pass on the surface; keep the wheel parallel to the disc and apply light pressure to minimize material removal while maintaining flatness and smoothness, thereby preserving the disc's functional performance and optimizing its interface with the brake pads. Finally, polish the brake disc to further enhance surface smoothness and improve the fit with the brake pads.
