Far from a full continuous circular outer edge perimeter, WishBrake scalloped brake discs incorporate accurately machined alternating radius shaped indentation on the outer edge. This outer edge geometry provides three main functional advantages which surface slotting / drilling does not offer: pinpoint focused reduction of rotating mass at the maximum diameter of the brake rotor, enhanced boundary layer airflow and greater heat dissipation, and intuitive sweeping clearance for brake dust, moisture and small abrasive pieces at the disc periphery. Most enthusiast HP buyers will combine scalloped outer profile with center venting, cross drill or slot pattern on the friction face for conbined performance benefit.

OE Bolt-on Compatibility: WishBrake does not change mounting dimensions when adding scalloped profile. All critical fitment dimensions follow source OE drawing for compatible vehicle platforms.

Q: Can you make my existing OE disc into scalloped profile?
A: Generally we recommend new purpose manufactured WishBrake blanks, not post-machining customer supplied rotors, because scallop removal changes stress state and balance. We program profiles from raw blank stage.
