Many people who buy brake parts after the original equipment think that composite brake discs are the same as carbon rotors. This is not true. It's important to explain the differences from the start. WishBrake's composite-tech product line includes technologies. These include MMC (Metal Matrix Composite) rotors, bimetallic composite assemblies and hybrid cast-alloy composite discs. It is not about carbon solutions.

MMC rotors use a metal-matrix material. This means a metallic base is made stronger with particles. This improves heat transfer wear resistance and stability at temperatures. Importantly this does not use carbon materials. This gives importers tuning distributors and race-part suppliers' choices.

Traditional cast-iron brake rotors have limits when used on high-power vehicles. When cars go down mountains or drive on tracks for times the brake discs take in a lot of heat. This high temperature can cause heat fade, warping and small thermal cracks. Also cast-iron rotors are heavy. This adds weight, which affects wheel response steering feel and suspension performance.

WishBrake's composite brake rotors are made to solve these issues. The friction ring takes the force of braking and heat. The composite hub-hat structure is focused on reducing weight and taking in vibrations. The two parts are joined with a locking system. Together they create a disc.

Compared to cast-iron rotors of the size WishBrake composite discs reduce weight by 15% to 32% which has been well tested with submitted samples of batches by SGS laboratory. Less weight on the wheel means pressure on the wheel hub. This improves suspension reaction, steering movement and how well the wheels move with the road. This leads to driving feel, in high-power and high-performance vehicles.

The friction ring and the alloy hub are made separately using CNC machines. The dimension tolerance for the tooth-shaped lock structure is tighter than cast-iron brake disc standards. WishBrake manages the machining tolerances. This makes sure the composite parts fit together exactly when they are put together.

WishBrake has a team that includes composite material engineers, brake system R&D experts, finite element simulation analysts and quality validation technicians. The team has experience in changing materials simulating heat stress improving composite assembly designs and testing on the bench. They help customers with custom brake disc development projects.

Batch traceability service: Each composite rotor has a laser-marked batch code. This allows us to go back and check the inspection records and finished product test data. This helps in quality checks.

Installation and break-in instructions: We give directions for putting in discs. This includes cleaning the hub surface using the right bolt torque following the break-in process and suggesting the brake pad types.

Market feedback loop: We get real-world input from partners around the world. This information is sent back to the R&D team to improve material formulas and assembly design.

WishBrake's composite tech series mainly uses metal matrix bimetallic technologies. Compared to carbon original equipment parts WishBrake composite rotors give weight and better heat performance at a cost.
